How do I send Business Friend my audio recordings?
We provide you with a password to send your recordings or documents via our secure File Transfer facility, which uses military grade 128-bit Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption. There is no upper limit on the file size and the uploads can run in the background of your PC.
Other options for transferring files are also available, including Dropbox, WeTransfer, OneDrive and Google Drive. Please Contact Us to discuss your preferred method.
How do I know Business Friend will provide a good service?
Business Friend was established in 2003 and has grown through word of mouth and recommendations. Do you have a confidentiality policy?
Yes we do. Our standard Terms of Business (available on request) details our confidentiality promise and we will also sign additional confidentiality or non-disclosure agreements as appropriate. All Business Friend’s typists and transcribers sign and adhere to strict confidentiality agreements.
Our upload facility uses military grade 128-bit Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption and is Privacy Shield certified.

How much do you charge?
We keep our pricing simple with no hidden costs, charging per recorded minute for audio typing and transcription services and per word for copy typing and proofreading services. Our Quote Calculators provide a helpful guide, or you can send us a completed Quote Request Form to receive a quote tailored to your requirements.
How do I pay?
Payment can be made by BACs or PayPal and is due within 30 days unless otherwise agreed.
For businesses, universities and other organisations, we issue an invoice either on completion of the project or on a monthly basis for works carried out that month if it is an ongoing project.
Private individuals may be asked to pay a deposit before the project commences until a working relationship has been established for six months.

Is Business Friend VAT registered?
Yes. Business Friend is VAT registered, therefore VAT at the current rate will be added to all quotes provided and invoices. Our VAT number is 366 0050 22 and the current rate is 20%.

We’ll get to work on your transcription following your brief provided in a timely manner.
